Oliver Joseph St. Pierre, Jr., age 88, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his home.  Oliver was born on Friday, March 19, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Oliver and Agnes (McCarthy) St. Pierre, Sr.  On August 26, 1960, he married the former Dorothy Elizabeth Foster in East Tawas, Michigan.  He was a resident of Mt. Pleasant for the past twelve years.

Mr. St. Pierre worked for over sixty years as an optician for DOC and in the hardware department for Sears.  He attended the Mt. Pleasant Community Church for many years.  He enjoyed going to the casino, was an avid hockey fan, especially enjoying the Red Wings, enjoyed Tigers baseball and Lions football.  He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren in the Mt. Pleasant High School Marching Band performing at football games.

Oliver is survived by his wife, Dorothy, children Dennis and Sandy Regan, Robert and Jean Regan and Janine and Ray Kovitz and his grandchildren: Cindy (Paul), David (Kathy), Jennifer, Joshua, Justin, Harrison and Alyssa and his great grandchildren: Jesse, Nick, Ava, Sophia and Bella.  Also surviving are sisters:  Helen McGrail, Margie and Bill Reed and Blanche and Wally Parson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy.

Funeral services honoring Oliver’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. from the Rowley Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Mora of the Mt. Pleasant Community Church officiating.  Visitation with the family will take place on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.  Interment will follow the service in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mt.
